Introduction of
"RIVER HEART"
Jiangxin Islet Park lies in the lower reaches of the Oujiang River with
a total area of some 700 thousand square meters. It's one of the 4 most
famous islets in China. The islet, rich in scenic beauty and historic
site, is a shining pearl and a "fairyland of immortals" in the Oujiang
River.
The
east Pagoda was built in the tenth year of Xiantong of Tang Dynasty
(A.D. 869) and the west Pagoda was set up in the second year of Kaibao
of North Song Dynasty (A.D. 969). In the seventh year of Shaoxin of
South Song dynasty (A.D. 1137), monks led by Qingliao from Shu Area
settled down there and constructed the Jiangxin Temple on the islet.
Renowned poets and celebrities since ages had been visiting the islet,
contributing a collection of nearly 800 pieces of poetry. The soaring
two pagodas were ingeniously built to fit in with the Jiangxin Temple in
between. The islet also boasts numerous historical relics like Memorial
Hall of Wen Tianxiang in Song Dynasty, Haoran Tower, Xiegong Pavilion,
Chengxian Chamber, Martyrs' Memorial Hall ond Workers'
Sanatorium, all of which are designated as protected cultural relics of
provincal and municipal levels.

over the River", "Tide Resonating by Haoran Tower", "Boats Sailing Home
in the Distance", “Lights of Fishing Boats by the Shoal", "Breeze
Echoing around the Pagoda", "Sweet and Limpid Fountain", "Sunset beyond
Cuiwei Mountain”, "Twilight an Horizon" and “Snow Scene on Luohu
Mountain", handed down to this day and make visitors lingering with
enchantment. Verdant old trees, hills encircling waters , dotted with
